The photograph, before you take it

The viewfinder renders your exact field of view: sensor aspect, focal length, teleconverter, lunar parallax, refraction, horizon flattening. If it looks tight here, it will be tight on the camera.

Where to stand, solved

Pick a goal like “the sun touches the treetop” and the map draws the wedge of ground it works from, checked against terrain. Hover the wedge and you stand there for real, live in every view.
